The TMCC associate degree in nursing (ADN) program prepares the student to practice nursing as a registered nurse. Graduates of an ADN program usually practice as nurses in direct client care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and community agencies where nursing roles and services are structured and well defined. The associate in applied science degree in nursing will be awarded upon completion of the curriculum, and the student will be eligible to apply to take the state licensure examination leading to practice as a registered nurse.
