The School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers an undergraduate program of study designed to provide students with the knowledge, skill, and understanding necessary to function effectively in all areas of professional nursing. The curriculum leading to the bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree offers two options for study: 1) two years of upper-division courses in the School of Nursing which follow two years of lower-division courses in the General College (BSN Option) and an accelerated second degree option for students with a previous bachelor’s degree (ABSN Option).
