For individuals seeking to become a registered nurse. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing prelicensure program provides the broad educational preparation necessary to make an efficient transition into the complex world of healthcare and move quickly into leadership positions.
Becoming a Registered Nurse:
-students must graduate from an accredited nursing program and
-pass the National Council of Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

The MSN program offers flexible scheduling of courses with evening classes, all-day classes scheduled approximately every other week, Saturday classes, and some distance education (DE) courses. We also offer a fully online Nursing Administration Program through Academic Partnership.
The DNP is a post-master’s program to prepare Nurse Practitioners who demonstrate leadership, clinical expertise and innovation in problem recognition and resolution using evidence based practice. Courses include research, translation of evidence into clinical practice, vulnerable populations, epidemiology and specialized clinical practice. The 45 credit hour program uses blended on-line, intensive/immersion and traditional classroom delivery formats.
The 45 credit hour program includes 36 semester hours of required courses and 9 semester hours of electives. The required courses (36 hours) identified for the DNP curriculum meet the AACN Essentials for Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice. (AACN, August 2006.) Students will select 9 semester hours of electives with the guidance of the graduate advisor to support and/or extend their clinical practice.

-Implement evidence-based health care in selected populations.
-Demonstrate leadership in promoting quality improvement in health care systems.
-Conduct clinical research to evaluate care and promote evidence-based practice.
-Apply the health care policy process in the promotion of evidence-based practice.
