LPN ProgramsLPN Program Details
The Vocational Nursing Program will prepare the student as an entry-level health care provider who is responsible for rendering basic nursing care. The program provides theory, technical skills, pharmacology, and off-site clinical nursing experience.
The students enrolled in the VN program will be trained in the following areas:
Nursing Fundamentals
Medical/Surgical Nursing
Maternity/Nutrition
Culturally congruent care
Leadership and critical thinking
Gerontology/Rehabilitation nursing
Pediatric Nursing/Growth and Development
Vocational Nursing Program Prerequisites:
High school diploma or GED
Pass the CPAT Examination
Complete a written entrance essay
Complete an interview with the Nursing Director
Nursing Administrative approval
Pass a background check
