Western Wyoming Community College offers a part-time 3-semester Outreach Practical Nursing Program, which is based in Evanston. The lecture/theory portion of the classes is achieved through Problem Based Learning (PBL) to help the students develop critical thinking skills. Successful completion of the program allows the student to earn a Certificate in Practical Nursing and to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX – PN). Upon licensure, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides care for clients with common predictable health problems and practices in locations where supervision or direction is readily available, and policies and procedures are specified.
Admission into the PN program is granted only in the Fall Semester.
Admission forms will be available in January of each year.
Anyone who intends to apply to the AD program and the PN program must submit an application to each program before the specified deadlines.
