The Practical Nurse program provides the common body of knowledge and skills essential for the practical nurse’s entry into practice. The curriculum fulfills the educational requirements for licensure as a licensed practical nurse (LPN). Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN examination. Curriculum and schedule are subject to change based on clinical availability. Students may request consideration for advanced placement by submitting an official transcript of coursework. This program does not offer credit for experiential learning. There are pathways for articulation to degree nursing programs. Students continuing their education for an ADN or BSN should consult a counselor regarding transfer of credit for all courses.
